Etzer is a professor of Marketing and Economics. He is currently working as the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) and the Head of Tourism Department at Université Quisqueya (UniQ) in Haiti. In the CEI, he has been working with young existing aspiring entrepreneurs and has been coordinating training and technical assistance programs such as business creation awareness, business plan preparation, funding seeking, tools for personal development and management and for job creation in the communities. After four years, Etzer S. EMILE has helped to train hundreds of young aspiring entrepreneurs and help more than 150 others to start their business in different sectors such as agro-business; garment, tourism, education and technology. He also hosts currently a daily economic magazine on Radio Vision 2000. In public sector, he has also served as an economic advisor for different ministries and recently for Prime Minister Enex Jean Charles. In 2013, he launched his own consulting firm “Haiti Efficace”.
In terms of education background, he graduated from Tamkang University of Taiwan with an MBA in Banking and Finance. Previously, he obtained his bachelor degree in Economics at Université Quisqueya and studied Sociology at the Faculty of Human Sciences at the State University of Haiti (FASCH). Besides, he attended various seminars and other executive training programs mostly related to business, economic development and entrepreneurship in Harvard University, Oklahoma State University, UQAM, Mexico, Belgium and Taiwan. More recently he received a scholarship from Department of States of the US as an IVLP beneficiaries.
